Without it, we would waste away

Lord, the feelings are not the same, I guess I’m older, I guess I’ve changed. And how I wish it had been explained, that as your growing you must remember, that nothing last’s, except the Grace of God, by which I stand, In Jesus. I remember back in back in the year 2000, my first year of knowing Jesus. I was working with a dude who one day asked me if I had heard of Keith Green. I hadn’t. He then said that he was going to give me the book No compromise to read, and after I had finished he was then going to give me a bunch of Keith’s music to listen to. I still remember hearing it for first time like it was yesterday, and how much it impacted me. Wow!

Lord God, thank you for Christian musicians past and present who have helped us worship you. Like psalmist’s, they have communicated things we haven’t been able to, and like Prophets, they have used words to changed our direction. We are thankful that you bless us with people who use their gifts so well and encourage us to draw closer to you. – Amen
