Do you ever ask God to show you how short life is so you can grow in wisdom?
I was recently reminded that the time that God gives us is not to be wasted or spent without eternity in mind. As followers of Christ, it’s important that we regularly examine our days to make sure we are not engaging in meaningless pursuits.
So, if you are Born again and allow the days to pass without much thought, my hope this that you would use this prayer as a guide to number your days and use them wisely for God.
Father God, thank you for giving us time to live, and we are sorry that we sometimes live for us instead of living for you. Teach us Lord to count carefully the days of our short lives, that we would grow in wisdom and use the time we have for your Kingdom. – In Jesus name, amen.
