When he sees a person, he sees their need, not the day of the week. In this case it was a woman who had been bent over for eighteen years. Imagine the disconnection she felt from community, and the judgement she no doubt received from the religious leaders.

It's encouraging because life can get busy, and lots of things can get in the way of making time to pray. But we are not rabbi's and don't have crowds following us and demanding our attention. Thankfully our prayer times wont be as hectic as hectic as Jesus's.
