God’s forgiveness – a gift to share with others

We cannot receive the mercy and forgiveness of God unless we repent, and we cannot claim to have repented of our sins if we are unmerciful towards the sins of others. Nothing moves us to forgive like the sense of wonder that we have ourselves been forgiven, Nothing proves more clearly that we have been forgiven than our own readiness to forgive. – John Stott

Father God, we are thankful for the forgiveness that you have shown us, and for your mercies which are new each day. Help us to remember these gifts each day, in a way that will lead us to be ready and willing to share them with others – Amen
