It's encouraging because life can get busy, and lots of things can get in the way of making time to pray. But we are not rabbi's and don't have crowds following us and demanding our attention. Thankfully our prayer times wont be as hectic as hectic as Jesus's.
Jesus could have easily had his needs met through the calling of angels, or some other supernatural way and come out on top, but that's not his way. He could see through the devils schemes and instead he chose to resist all 3 temptations with the proper use of scripture.

The response of those early disciples was utterly astonishing. Notice that Jesus didn't perform miracles to impress them before issuing his call.
